On Tuesday, May 19, the Long Island Society of Health-System Pharmacists and Pharmacy Times partnered to host a CE event at Morton's The Steakhouse, bringing pharmacy professionals together for networking and education focused on insulin management.

LISHP hosted the 2026 Annual Anthony T. Buatti Pharmacy Residency Research Symposium on Thursday, April 30th at the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research in Manhasset. The event brought together pharmacy residents from across the island to showcase the innovative research they developed throughout the year and celebrate the future of the pharmacy profession.

On Thursday, February 12, LISHP members gathered at Insignia in Smithtown for an evening of education, connection, and great conversation. One of our PGY-2 Critical Care residents, Anureet Kaur, delivered an excellent presentation on the use of phenobarbital in alcohol withdrawal, offering valuable clinical insights and sparking thoughtful discussion. It was a fantastic night of learning and networking for all who attended.

On Thursday, January 29, 2026, LISHP gathered at Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse in Carle Place, NY to hear Lina Lin, PharmD, BCOP, share insights on the latest oncology drug approvals of 2025 and their impact on patient care.

Sasha E. Dorzin, PharmD, BCPPS explores modern advances in cystic fibrosis care, highlighting current treatment strategies and evolving approaches to improve patient outcomes.

Diana Isaacs, PharmD, BCPS, BCACP, BC-ADM, CDCES explored pharmacist-driven strategies to prevent therapeutic inertia in diabetes management.

Nicholas C. Schwier, PharmD, BCCP gave an excellent overview of the management of acute and recurrent pericarditis during our October meeting.
