On Thursday, September 24, LISHP proudly hosted its first-ever PGY2 Pharmacy Residency Showcase, bringing together 21 residency programs and prospective candidates for an evening of connection, conversation, and professional networking.
The event was held at NYU Langone Hospital – Long Island Research and Academic Center and provided a unique in-person opportunity for residency programs and residents to meet face-to-face. With representatives from 21 programs in attendance, prospective candidates had the chance to explore a wide variety of PGY2 opportunities across specialties including Critical Care, Infectious Diseases, Ambulatory Care, Pediatrics, Oncology, Emergency Medicine, Administration, and Medication Safety. Attendees were able to connect directly with program representatives, ask questions, and gain valuable insight into the residency experience.
As LISHP’s first event of this kind, the showcase marked an exciting milestone for our organization. Our goal was to create a welcoming environment where programs and potential candidates could connect beyond the traditional application process and begin meaningful conversations about the next step in their professional journeys.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make this event possible, especially the residency programs, representatives, residents, and members of our LISHP community who came out and supported this initiative.
