PGY-1 Pharmacy Residents across Long Island showcased their research projects at the Annual Anthony T. Buatti Pharmacy Residency Research Symposium.
Joshua Yaich, PharmD, PGY-2 Critical Care Pharmacy resident at North Shore University Hospital provided a comprehensive overview of myasthenia gravis, covering its underlying mechanisms, diagnostic process, and evidence-based treatment strategies to equip pharmacists with the knowledge and skills necessary to optimize patient care and improve outcomes in this complex condition.
Olga Hilas, PharmD, MPH, BCPS, BCGP, FASCP discussed 2024 new drug approvals and ways to stay up-to-date in an evolving drug landscape.

During this meeting, we also mourned the loss of our dear friend and colleague, John Fill. John was a highly respected and dedicated pharmacist, as well as a valued and long-standing member of LISHP. Thank you, John, for your unwavering commitment to the pharmacy profession and the countless memories you created with so many of us. You are deeply missed, but we will carry your memory with us always.
