  1. Understand how the pathophysiology of venous thromboembolism (VTE) contributes to the increased risk of VTE in trauma patients.
  2. Compare current guideline recommendations for VTE prophylaxis, including dosing and monitoring strategies.
  3. Evaluate trauma patient populations that would benefit the most from individualized VTE prophylaxis strategies.
  4. Identify practical challenges in implementing individualized prophylaxis strategies.
